This past weekend, Cartersville Middle School Theater Program put on a fantastic rendition of The Addams Family: Young@Part, which earned a standing ovation from parents and students alike. This event took place on Friday, 24th to Saturday, 25th of April 2026, bringing outstanding performances from our young cast and many laughs to the audience.   

The musical depicts the Addams family, who are well known for their quirky and somewhat creepy disposition. Their young daughter, Wednesday Addams, then finds love for a boy who comes from a considerably normal family. This causes all kinds of chaos, as both families feel that they aren’t right for each other and use various means to try to split them apart.   

The cast did a remarkable job of bringing these characters to life by engaging with the audience and keeping the spooky yet charming personalities of the Addams family we all know and love. We also can’t forget the backstage crew who helped bring this musical to life. Without the incredible work of the crew, there wouldn’t be a show for everyone to enjoy.
