On Friday, April 24th, 2026, our Cartersville High School chorus won an overall superior rating at the Southern Star Music Festival, taking home the gold standard trophy for their wonderful performance. They performed at the Riverside EpiCenter Performing Arts Hall, where they were adjudicated by college-level music professionals. After their performance, they were given a master class by Dr. Deanna Joseph from Georgia State University, who is an internationally recognized choral conductor. To celebrate their hard work, the choir took a trip to Six Flags, where they received their award and got to socialize with other choirs from all around the south. This fun and educational experience always leaves our choir students with a smile.
