Titanic has been a well-loved and recognized movie since its release in 1997. Written by James Cameron, the movie cost $200 million in production and grossed over $1 billion. It also earned 14 Oscar nominations and received 11 awards. This movie is considered a well-beloved classic.
The plot follows the story of two polar opposites who meet on the boat that was deemed unsinkable and who eventually fall for each other. The story is told from the point of view of Rose DeWitt, who is played by Kate Winslet, the main love interest of the protagonist Jack Dawson, who is played by Leonardo DiCaprio. As the movie unfolds, they end up fighting for their chance at a life together despite being complete strangers and complete opposites in terms of social class.
The boat made for the movie was made to replicate the exact one that sank, and paired with the great acting, the movie was so realistic that some fans didn’t know it was fictional. The visuals are also very clear and well-produced, and have HD quality.
My personal opinion is very positive. My favorite part was the ending, even though it’s one of the most controversial parts of the entire movie. In my opinion, if they both survived the Titanic, the two leads would have never lasted in a marriage.
