Outcast, odd, Unique, or out of touch is considered a weird kid. A category society created to single people out, to disgrace them, or simply to put a label on those considered “worthy of bullying.” But really just kids who are misunderstood.
Why is there such a strong need to be appreciated or accepted by society? Why are people mocked or criticized for their hobbies, their interests, or the way they look simply because they do not meet certain standards? High school trending standards influence insecurity in teenagers by teenagers questioning who they are because they believe in what they are perceived as.
“Foreign, alien, or disease” – those who are considered odd, not “basic,” or not aesthetically pleasing by certain standards. Students who push these ideas often lack creativity, empathy, and open-minded maturity. Now these attitudes are influenced by the environment, social circles, or culture that shapes the way young students are taught to think. But these thoughts are historically a trend in high school in general.
There is always a hierarchy, with different groups placed into categories.
“Weirdo.” “Popular.” “Nerd.”
