Disco ball party

This year there were many mixed emotions about Cartersville’s homecoming dance. There were some changes; there was music and dancing in the courtyard. In the lunchroom, there was food, and people were sitting down. When I walked in, I immediately went to the circle of people dancing. It was extremely hot, and everyone was sweating. There was lots of pushing around and no room, which was uncomfortable. But it was nice to have the option of sitting in the air-conditioned lunchroom and chilling for a while. Outside, there were good decorations from the class floats. The courtyard was beautifully decorated.

One thing I would have changed about homecoming was the music. I think a lot of people would agree that the music killed the vibe. There would be a good song and next there would be songs no one even knew. When lame songs came on everyone just stood around. The songs seemed longer than usual, so it would get boring. I feel like I enjoyed last year’s homecoming a lot more than this year’s.  Last year the music was a lot more fun to jump around and dance to. Overall, I had a fun time at homecoming and really my only complaint was the music but that is an easy fix for next year. Maybe a couple weeks before homecoming there could be a song request form. I think that would be good for next year.
