Fears to Fathom: Ironbark Lookout
For some context, I absolutely adore this game. Fears to Fathom is such a unique horror game, and each episode has a different and diverse experience. Supposedly, each episode is a true story sent in by an anonymous user to the game developer, of course, sometimes, it seems a bit too movie-like or over the top to be a true story, but in the end, it still made a unique and interesting gaming experience. In total, there will be 5 episodes, and episode 4 was just released a few days ago (Oct. 20). From the brief description on the official game site the episode is described as; “Jack Nelsson, a 24-year-old fire lookout, transferred to a new lookout. As he settled into his new home, he couldn’t shake the feeling that something was off, little did he know what was transpiring down in Ironbark State Park.”
Now, out of my own curiosity, I wanted to see if Ironbark State Park was a real place or had a real-life counterpart (because sometimes things are changed for liability reasons). Surprisingly, there is a place! Ironbark Nature Reserve in Australia. Although it is never specified by the developer where these stories take place, most people assumed the stories were from people in the United States, but nonetheless, this means that this story could have some truth!

Crumbl Cookies
Every week, Crumble Cookies have a variety of cookies to try out. I tried 5 new cookies from their selections this week. Although some of them weren’t completely new, they were new to me. I first tried the Cookies and cream milkshake (last week). It tasted just like any other thing that is flavored as cookies and creme. If you like Oreos, it’s perfect for you but I didn’t think anything was special about it. The presentation was cute and it came with a mini-Oreo on top. Then there’s Pumpkin cheesecake, the pumpkin didn’t have an overwhelming taste, but you could taste the pumpkin spice. It tasted just like I imagined fall would taste. The frosting tasted like cheesecake. It was really balanced and if you love pumpkin spice lattes, you would adore this cookie. Next, there was Banana cream pie. The icing inside of it tasted so good. It was like the best banana putting you have ever had. The cookie base was pie crust, and the cookie was like an actual pie. Brookie was another one I tried, and the chocolate chips used inside of it weren’t too sweet and it was a good mixture of flavors. You get the best of both worlds; You get the softness of the brownie and the crunchiness of the cookie all at once. Pink velvet Cake was the last one and I didn’t even want to bite into it because of how beautiful it was. The cake batter flavor added an extra layer of sweetness.

Where’s the Money Lebowski?
The Big Lebowski is a 1998 mystery comedy film, which delivers timeless quotes and interesting characters. “The Dude” is a guy we all wish to be, a man who goes with the flow and lives by his own rules. That is until he is confused with another “Lebowski.” The BIG Lebowski owes money to a group of people and hires “the Dude” to hand the money over. In return, he gets away with a free rug.
There are a few different themes presented in this movie. Many say it connects to Alice in Wonderland, how “the Dude” is pulled into this different world and his hallucinations represent this very well. Also, a battle against authority, and how he is very counterculture and goes against societal norms. This is such an interesting movie, and there’s even more to dive into with hidden meanings and allusions.

Loki: Seasons 1 & 2
The elusive nature of Norse Mythology and all its gods and frost giants has always managed to fascinate your average American consumer. The nature of how Norse Mythology has been presented in the modern day has changed however with Marvel’s cinematic universe bringing out the comic renditions of the pantheon. Loki arrived on the television scene like a wrecking ball of writing and presentation, standing out from other shows by having an interesting retro atmosphere, a mystery that drives the plot, and very memorable characters played by beloved actors. Although fans have waited an excruciatingly long time to see a second season released, Loki’s second season has currently been airing and drawing back the attention of viewers who want to see the first season’s ending cliffhanger resolved. If you like good things in life, what are you doing waiting to watch Loki?
