The Booth Western Art Museum was a part of a school field trip I had with my Writer’s Workshop class, and it was very memorable and enjoyable. The Booth Museum is a local museum here in Cartersville. In the museum, America’s story is told through the various forms of art but especially paintings. When I walked through the museum with my friends I was brought in by most paintings because of the contrast of colors and just the vibrant colors that come together to create a piece. Corner after corner I felt like I was walking blind, the dark atmosphere was creepily silent with no sounds of an exit. My friends and I made it our mission to find the play area and found that the map that was given to us was no help. For one, I just cannot read a map, and second, I felt like everything seemed to hide in plain sight. The overall experience was pleasant, and I would love to go back.
