La’Maya Matthew is a 16-yearold girl, originally from Portland, Oregon. She enjoys singing, hanging with friends, and blessing other people whenever she can. She loves a good laugh and strives to get closer to God. La’Maya is determined to fight for what’s right and will not back down in an argument if that’s what she believes. Equality is something she is very passionate about and she feels that till this day we’re fighting to have equal opportunities and rights. When she graduates high school she plans to have a great supporting job that allows her to help people in need. One thing she knows for sure is that she will never stop singing and trying to put a smile on everybody’s faces even if there isn’t one on hers.
