The first time I met my niece was a rush of emotions. It was a late summer night, and I was quietly sleeping in bed. I had tucked myself in with my oversized, white, warm comforter. And then, all of a sudden, I heard a knock against my white wooden door. I quickly rise from the warmth of my bed, and my eyes scan the room. I see the light enter the room. My sister, Elizabeth, had a tired and excited look. Still, her giant smile and exciting eyes overtook any signs of fatigue that could have been there. I had no idea she was coming to visit. In her tired arms was the newest member of the family, Cienna River Page. Cienna was born in Huntington Beach, California, on July 5, 2021. Quite far from where I live, I could not see her when she was born. My sister, smiling, placed Cienna in my arms. She was so tiny and delicate. Her arms wandered freely, and I looked into her twinkling eyes. I felt many emotions, felt content, and was excited to see her for the first time. Fearing I would drop her, I placed her on my large bed. I placed fluffy pillows around my bed, ensuring she won‘t fall. Her dark eyes gazed at my beige room walls. One by one, my family enters my room to share the memories.
