Zoe Laverne Is Awful and Here’s Why. . .
December 2, 2020
Zoe Laverne has been in many controversies since her ‘rise to fame’; kissing her ex-boyfriend even when he was saying no, trying to take her ex-boyfriends pants off without his consent, constantly trash-talking people that don’t deserve it on camera, saying the n-word on camera, being a hateful person just in general, and her most recent one, kissing and getting in a relationship with a 13-year-old boy.
Before Tik Tok brought this vile person and her disgusting actions to my attention, I had never actually cared about her. I heard about what a horrible person she was in passing, from time to time, but never actually looked into her. Then it pops up on my For You page, someone I follow is ranting about another injustice- she’s ranting about Zoe Laverne.
And there it is- knowledge that I can’t unlearn. Zoe Laverne did it, she really did it. She, a 19-year-old adult, kissed a thirteen-year-old. And I don’t mean just a simple peck on the cheek, I mean full blown, on the lips, cupping the face, lingering and following when the other pulls away type kiss. Gross. Disgusting. He’s a minor!
Where were her parents when she was doing this? Where was her mother? Not in the state of caring apparently, since it was implied her parents knew of it (both of their parents did), and sometime after being outed by the hacker, Zoe’s mother went on live defending her daughter’s actions. Not to mention, in a livestream trying to explain away the problem, Zoe implied that it went farther than a kiss; they were also in a relationship.
If it had been my child taking advantage of a minor, I wouldn’t even be acknowledging them as my child, much less defending them. In fact, I would have raised them better, just in general. I never would have had this problem with them.
The worst part about all this is other than the backlash from people on TikTok and the internet, nothing official has been done about it. There was a rumor that she was arrested, but that was it- just a rumor.
I think we, as a society, need to stop letting people get away with stuff like this, especially people like Zoe, who are spoiled and used to getting out of trouble without even a slap on the wrist. If it had been your son or your brother or your friend who went through this, wouldn’t you be angry. Bring that same level of anger you imagine at the thought of someone you know being the victim to this situation.
It’s disgusting and immoral, and something needs to be done about it.
