As we roll into the month of November we brace ourselves for the brutality of cold weather. The cold is what we look forward to every year, because we get to cuddle by the fire with sweaters and forget all of our responsibilities. Between Thanksgiving and Christmas it’s the most wonderful time of the year. It just doesn’t feel like it.

It seems as if we are still melting in the hot humid Georgia air in the middle of November. Walking outside after class and it’s 85 degrees outside is depressing when it’s supposed to be sweater weather. Girls want to put on their cute sweaters and boots but if they do it is likely they will melt in the blazing sun.  It is hard to get in the holiday spirit with the temperature holding you back in summer.

So why is it this hot? Well the lack of rain could be a valid answer. It hasn’t rained in months which is causing a drought. This weather is a never ending pit of heat and there is nothing we can do but sit here and take it.

So the question is whether we have hope for the cold to come or get used to sweating through Christmas. How do you feel about this hot weather? Would you want hot holidays or sweater weather?
